Invitation to apply 10th Student Awards

Submit a paper on the theme "Our world is changing - our shoppers demand more" and have the chance to win 1,000 euros, 750 or 500 and your personal invitation to the Forum in Barcelona from June 3rd to June 5th, 2009. Deadline is March 31st, 2009

You are invited to submit, any time during the year, your theories, experiences and visions on the philosophy and practice of ECR particularly as it relates to ECR in the Third Millennium.

Feel free to define the topic of your contribution within the framework of the background, scope and mission of ECR Europe.

Your contribution can be an essay, a scenario, a project report, a multimedia presentation, an entrepreneurial concept or any other form of academic work which you would like submit to ECR Europe. It should be constructive, provocative or instructive, inspiring thoughts and actions and introducing a new approach or unconventional ideas. It has to be the original work of the author. Individual or collective authorship is permitted.

To encourage thought leadership and young talent,  the winners of this annual Student Award are announced at the ECR Europe Forum and Marketplace each year. 

 

Guidelines

The ECR Europe Student Awards competition is open to advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students in any relevant field of study enrolled at universities throughout Europe.

Applications are to be submitted in electronic format using the application template available on this website. Please note you will need to register on this website before being able to submit your application.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail of your registration with your user name and password. Please note that users rights are attributed manually therefore allow up to 24 hours for us to handle your request, thank you in advance for your understanding.

Your electronic application should include:
• your contact details
• an electronic copy of your student identification (proof of current enrolment)
• a colour portrait photograph of yourself in .jpeg format (maximum 1MB)
• your essay of 8 pages maximum in Microsoft Word format (.doc). The front page should mention only the name of the essay – no name or personal information please since this document will be used by the applications committee.

By submitting your application, you agree to cede copyright of your contribution to ECR Europe a.s.b.l. with registered offices in Belgium, Brussels. Furthermore, you agree that The International Commerce Institute of ECR Europe may use this material and publish your work in the International Commerce Review and/or on its website at www.ecr-instute.org.


Selection process

Contributions will be evaluated by a panel of academics appointed by the International Commerce Institute and three winners will be chosen. The committee’s decision will be announced at the ECR Europe Forum and Marketplace that takes place each year. Names of the winners as well as their essays will be posted on the Institute’s website www.ecr-institute.org shortly after the forum. There will be no correspondence concerning the results of the award.


Forum participation and awards

The three finalists will be invited to the next ECR Europe Forum and Marketplace where the awards will be presented in person by the co-chairmen of the International Commerce Institute.

 First Prize, Gold Award consists of 1’000 Euros

Second prize, Silver Award, consists of 750 Euros

Third Prize, Bronze Award, consists of 500 Euros

Deadline for Submission is March 31st 2009
